Things do not cook as well in the oven if you leave the plastic film on... my poor brownies :(

SoonerGirl --- 16 years ago -

rofl... reminds me of the time I had put muffins in a pyrex container w/the plastic lid on, put them in the oven to keep the ants away then forgot about them and started to preheat the oven... it was a HUGE mess!

♪♫♏ikayla --- 16 years ago -

I left a plastic layer on a ham once(what, I didn't know)! It wasn't a total disaster though...just had peelin' to do...

JMudsy --- 16 years ago -

sad thing is, it's not the first time I've done it lol

♪♫♏ikayla --- 16 years ago -

Lol, brownies sound good too!

SoonerGirl --- 16 years ago -

Well, maybe we should start a club!lol I had a friend one time that put one of those Dijorno (sp) pizzas in the oven but she put the cardboard in as well!

Rachel --- 16 years ago -

haha i did that to my daughters birthday cake before she even saw it :P

JMudsy --- 16 years ago -

well, the second set came out fabulously. I love those brownie trays that you just throw in the oven (WITHOUT THE PLASTIC.)

Heather --- 16 years ago -

pizzas in the oven but she put the cardboard in as well! I can't even tell you how many times I've done that. lol

ALEM --- 16 years ago -

my mom put the icing cup from dominos in the microwave to warm it up, and though it wouldn't melt.....it melts...i was pissed i didnt get my icing for my cinnamon sticks.

Romeosgirlie --- 16 years ago -

lol, sorry about your brownies. i have personally done the why isnt the food cooking....because i didnt turn the oven on.

SoonerGirl --- 16 years ago -

mom put the icing cup from dominos in the microwave to warm it up, This just reminded me of the time I needed to thaw some cream cheese and I stuck it in the microwave STILL IN the foil wrapper... I thought I was going to blow my microwave up! I'm surprised hubby still lets me in the kitchen.

Romeosgirlie --- 16 years ago -

owwwww, yeah i did that when i was like 16 babysitting at a neighbors house, they bought me arbys and i warmed it up in the wrapper, it caught on fire and i was scared to touch it so i unplugged the microwave and threw a cup of water on it. it wasnt good, lol

JMudsy --- 16 years ago -

threw a cup of water on it. ooooh crap...lol I've heated up the dominos icing before, i just did it a little at a time though. One year I gave up chocolate for Lent. Well, someone bought me a huge chocolate bar, so I put it in the freezer so I couldn't eat it. Well, when Lent was over, I put it in the microwave to heat it up a little, foil wrapper and all...I cried. I had been waiting for that dang chocolate bar for 40 days and then killed it!

I learned early you aren't suppose to put a bunch of oil in a pan in the oven during home ec in 7th grade. It kind of started a fire..oops my bad

SoonerGirl --- 16 years ago -

HA, I just walked into my kitchen and my oven was on... its been on for like 2 hrs. I always do this kind of crap when hubby is gone. When I was pregnant I had really bad backaches, my mom told me to put a dish towel in the microwave and warm it up just a little... she failed to tell me to get it damp first. YEP... caused a small fire!lol

gidget --- 16 years ago -

i am so glad that i have yet to put plastic in the oven. thank god! i have left water to boil for 2 hours......yeah i "burn" water. lol

♪♫♏ikayla --- 16 years ago -

My son, at my moms awhile back, thought you could microwave anything. He put his big(barely fit) fire truck in there that made noise. Was in there for one second, I charged for the microwave when I realized what he did. One second, and the fire truck was dead lol.

wallie --- 16 years ago -

when my husband was a kid he had a babysitter who was boiling hot dogs, burned thru the water, hot dogs, the pan, and then that caught the stove on fire. when he told me i couldnt stop laughing

TheChesters5 --- 16 years ago -

my husband was cleaning the stove about a week ago and apparently i left the burner on and he didnt realize til the rag was on it and about to catch fire... Ive done that twice the last week. Preggo brain.

Preggo brain. lol My preggo neighbor hits the stove knobs with her big belly and turns the gas on. I have walked over there like twice now smelling gas. LOL I like oh my GOD M your gas is on..LOL. Good thing we don't have air conditioning and she keeps all her windows open!

Lorien --- 16 years ago -

If I can't find my lighter I light my cigarette off the stove and run outside. Sometimes I forget to turn the stove off first.
