The ball this year is supposed to be at the pala casino. well my hubby keeeps saying "everyone i know says that place sucks" "we should get a rooom somewhere else" just curious if anyone has had a ball there and what you think thanks

We had a room at the pala, and we had fun, it is what you make of it. 

Definitely get a room (we didn't, but we don't drink) if you want to drink because the road is long, dark, and very curvy/scary. 

dang now i dont know what to do i thought hubby was just being whiney but maybe he wasnt arghh dont know what to do! 

Like Cortney said, it will be what you make of it. I wouldn't skip the ball JUST because it was at Pala, but there are several places I would rather go, lol. 

the PALA SU*KS for a ball, when is your ball? Ours is there too I was so bummed :( 

Ours was there two years ago and now again this year. We don't drink and we have a 13 week old lil boy so there is no way we are staying over night there's no point to waste the money. I thought it sucked because of the food so not worth the price we paid! 

Yea the food (and the service) was gross. We pretty much had to beg for our dessert. 

I still say get a room, even if you are only going to drink a tiny bit, or be tired when you leave, because the drive was scary enough sober. Its fine when its light out but when its dark............no way.

We had ours there as well, and it wasn't pleasant. The food wasn't very good and the cost of a room was not worth it. We stayed for dinner and then left and went elsewhere. But as most say, to each their own. 

We had fun. It's what u make of it. We got a room. I loved my room we got a suite. It had a hot tub. It was fun. :) 

We had fun, but I agree with everyone else... the food sucks! It was actually the worst food I'd ever had at a ball. I don't have experience with the rooms... we have two kids so we went home afterwards. 

i liked it. we had our ball there last year. the food wasnt the best but you can gamble. the rooms were nice. the hotel has reasonable rates too for the night of the ball you just have to call and ask them . make sure you let them know you are reserving it for the ball.or they will give the regular rates. plus they have free parking for the casino thats what we used and we stayed the night.

Depends upon the command on the childcare. And our food last year actually wasnt bad. 

Ours was there last year and the food wasnt all that grand at all and itwas ok but blah...i was disappointed 

The food was cold and not so good, I am not a smoker. There is alot of smoking going on there, I will say we were leaving and I played a slot machine and won 80.00, walking out the door. So, that was the only good thing about that night, we didn't stay their, didn't want to waste the money on a room. 

keaghans mom what unit is you hubby with? 

1/11 for now till 2/11 gets back I take it your hubbies with 1/11 as well? Which battery?
