the guy across the street smokes pot ((ALOTTT OF POT))and claims its because he got hurt overseas and needs it for the pain. He is no longer a Marine but his wife is. I dont think it is rite he is doing this and he does it outside his house like its no big deal! As far as i know its still illegal or did i miss something ?
Ya, on base it is 100% illegal. They actually just sent out a notice not too long ago that medical marijuana is not legal in base housing. He could get kicked out of housing and I'm sure his wife could get in trouble.
Yes they do. I saw the Lics bc I was giving him crap for having a bong in the kitchen like it was tupperware lol. He pulled it out and showed me. It was issued before he got out in June. They will issue them for not being able to sleep, migraines, PTSD. A whole long list of things. They are doing that more bc it isnt addictive like the strong pain killers they are giving the injured guys. He has a lisc before too. He got recalled and had to turn it over to the command but had a waiver in his SRB in case he popped on a drug test for a long time after he came back in. Once he was bace to AD Status he wasnt allowed to smoke but once he was getting out again the card was given back, renewed and he lit up again. Totally didnt believe my hubby when he was telling me. I had to see and hear it all for myself. And sure enough, it was all true.
My friend doesnt live on base. I am not saying anything about the base part. His wife is a lawyer for the state so even she went with to the DR appts and had to hear it all for herself bc if anything ever happened she wanted to make sure she wasnt going to get in trouble or loose her job.
why would the gov issue a license if they consider it illegal?
thats a good question
i dont understand y they will let anyone get a liscence for it at all today on the news they said less than 1% of the people who have a liscence for it need it for medicinal use and the people who do need it for pain arent going to be high out of there mind and useing it in public places like drug addicts do and getting cought so i dont see what the point of a marijuana liscence was to begin with
No matter what its illegal on base. Housing seny out a notice not to long ago like someone said. It said its illegal anywhere on the base and besides being kicked out you could face prosecution. You should let your neighbor know. It doesnt matter that he has a rx for it. Also anyone can call the Navy hospital and they will tell they do not give rxs for pot. The Navy hospital falls under federal guidelines not state.
I've wondered this myself. Occasionally I will smell pot late at night. Active duty cannot have even traces of it in their systems so I don't see why it wouldn't be illegal on base.
Like someone else said, it's legal in this state but not federally. I think that mainly comes into play with the stores that sell medical marijuana. They are always getting shut down by the Feds!
I think that if they medically need it then who cares. Montel has MS and did this whole long show about how his tolerance for pain meds causes him to be in constant pain all the time. He uses medical weed and can function because of it. Sme people do really need it and if they do it through a dr I say more power to them.
Good grief, some people should have their noses chopped off and fed to the dogs
I think she's just curious??? She did say he was flaunting it around like he had a pair.... I agree to stay out of everyones biz, but how annoying for someone to be nanny nanny boo boo-ing. Lol.
:) and I'm guilty, I park in the fire lane sometimes, but only for a few mins if parking is tight. I feel like such a rule breaker!! Lol jk.
