there is this wierd stuff that looks like... blaack pepper kind of. they are little black specs under the toilet. im assuming its mold. isnt black mold really bad for people to breathe in? i tried scrubbing but it wont all come off. also there was this dark mold in my shower and i had to scrub for about two weeks to break it up and get it off. actually, just the stuff i could see. when i scrub i can still see the mold breaking off. can housing do anything about that? 

Yes it is...you have to have maintenace come in quick...especially if u have kids 

i dont have kids, but i heard they had to move someone because they found black mold in their house. will i have to move?

ugh we have the same black crap in one of our toilets!!! I scrub them once a week and it just keeps comming back in the one in the hallway upstairs. Weirdest thing is no one ever uses that one. 

they may have you move if it really bad how big is it? 

please let maintenace know immediately my son is asthmatic and we had it in the bathroom BEFORE we moved in...they had to tear out the whole wall and replace it... 

yeah! well i have it in the one we use, but still i dont know what the heck it is. when i checked google images it looked just like the black mold pictures. that stuff is toxic. I dont even trust them to clean it because they wont do a good job.

after about 3 weeks...they had to tear out the wall and get a special paint and a friend of ours from the hospital came and double checked it...that bathroom is off limits by the way...probably the only room in the house that is never used...lol...im too ocd...its a big problem on the base from what i hear. probably cuz of the nasty water lol

i dont want to have to move. my husband isnt even here. what am i gonna do move the couches myself. grrrrr. and my mother is staying with me right now so its not like i have anywhere to go if they tell me i cant be in the house for a while. this is ridiculous 

you know....i had a leak in my garage (from the upstairs tub) and the maintenance guy and royal rooter came by and fixed it...but it looked like there was mold up there...i didn't get a good look....but the guy just reclosed the ceiling today and now i'm curious if there is mold up there....hmm.. 

as far as the mold problem signs... when we moved in the lady doing the walk through told us to make sure to leave a door open when we are showering because all the moisture gets trapped in the bathroom. ewwww

well i wouldnt think that mold would make me have to move, but i remembered a friend of mine who lived in stuart mesa had to move because she had black mold in her house. i would hate to have that happen. i think TMO moved her though. or someone i dont think she did it herself 

mold is mold and it can get nasty no matter what they say...trust me...my son's health went whacko...hawaii knows me well, im a bleach person when it comes cleaning 

yeah, im a neat freak and thats why im always scrubbing in places people normally wouldnt look. i dont like messy or dirty or gross so the mold freaked me out. i even took some bleach and a brillo pad to it but no luck 

I called maintence for the "mold" issues and they sent a man out here and he used a tester and just tested the wood under my sink and the bathrooms cabnints. He said he was looking for the moisture in the wood. They dont test any further than that. He told me I could hire someone to come out and do a more indepth test. I was a big waste of my time. 

screw that. if i have mold they better do something about it
